New JAK inhibitor results for RA look really promising

xfiniteloop
Saw a new study published last week about a next-gen JAK inhibitor for RA that showed pretty significant improvement in joint damage prevention compared to current options. I don't want to oversell it because it's still in Phase 3 but the data looks really strong. The part that caught my eye: participants who had failed on at least 2 biologics (that's me) still showed improvement. Which is relevant for those of us who feel like we've tried everything. Obviously not medical advice, just sharing because I know some of us follow this stuff. Has anyone else seen this? My rheumatologist mentioned it at my last appointment and seemed cautiously optimistic which for her is basically doing backflips. I can try to find the link to the actual study if anyone wants it.

I saw this study too. Very encouraging, especially the data on biologic-failure patients. I've been through 3 biologics so anything that works through a different mechanism is exciting. My rheumatologist is keeping an eye on it. She said it might be available within the next year or two depending on the FDA timeline. Trying not to get my hopes up too much but it's hard not to.

would love the link to the actual study if you can find it. my rheumatologist and i have been talking about next steps since my current biologic is losing effectiveness and a new JAK inhibitor option would be good to bring up. cautiously optimistic is a good way to put it. weve all been burned by "promising" treatments before but the science on this one seems solid

Following this. I'm on my second biologic and already worrying about what happens when/if this one stops working. Having more options in the pipeline gives me hope even if it's still a ways out.
