My doctor actually LISTENED today

I've been bouncing between doctors for three years trying to get someone to take my Long COVID symptoms seriously. Today I saw a new internist who spent 45 MINUTES with me. She ordered a full autonomic panel, a tilt table test, and actually used the phrase "I believe you" without me having to beg for it. I'm sitting in my car in the parking lot crying.

The crying in the car after a good appointment hits different from crying in the car after a bad one. So glad you found someone who sees you.

If you're comfortable sharing, can you DM me the doctor's name? I'm also in Chicago with Long COVID and I'm desperate for someone who takes it seriously.

Riley I'm crying reading this. "I believe you" should not be a radical statement but for us it IS. It took me 5 years and 11 doctors to get my fibro diagnosis. Finding a doctor who listens changes everything. I'm so happy for you.
